The China Import and Export Fair

The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair for short), co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and hosted by China Foreign Trade Center, was founded on April 25, 1957 in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. It is a comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most variety of commodities, the largest number of buyers, the widest distribution of countries and regions, and the best transaction results, known as "the first exhibition in China".

The Canton Fair is flexible and diversified in terms of trade. In addition to the traditional sample trading, it also holds online trade fairs. The Canton Fair focuses on export trade as well as import business. It can also carry out various forms of economic and technical cooperation and exchanges, as well as commercial inspection, insurance, transportation, advertising, consulting and other business activities. The Canton Fair Pavilion is located on Pazhou Island, Guangzhou, with a total floor area of 1.1 million square meters, including 338,000 square meters of indoor exhibition halls and 43,600 square meters of outdoor exhibition halls.
